Legend of the Guardians (The Owls of Ga'Hoole). Screech Owl Sanctuary were approached by a flim company to help them produce an animated owl film based on the books by author Kathryn Lasky. The film was made by the same film company who made 'Happy feet'. Just about every Owl in the film is modelled on the owls from Screech Owl Sanctuary. Digger the burrowing owl is one of the main charactures and looks very true to life. He is just a year old and is called Digger in the film and in real life. Digger coming into land onto one of his posts. 2010
